Our common History started in the Middle of the 80´s with some legendary 8-Track-Fostex-Demo-Recordings at Tonstudio Peter in the 10th Vienna District. Recordings in the EMS-Studios in Spenge (Germany) were next for the LP: "Rattenfänger sterben nicht" by the "Günther Steiner Band". Later, the Name of the Band changed in "Steiner & Komplizen", another CD was coming up: "Ein langer Weg".
1998, Günther Steiner and the Guitar Player Lo Pöltl formed up a new Band called: "Die Kollegen". They played high quality Heavy Rock for more than 10 Years on many Gigs, a Couple of CD-Releases followed, also some personal Changes within the Band.
At the same Time and longer, Günther played Keyboards in the Heavy Rock Band: "Gallows Pole", live and in the Studios for some CD-Releases, and made a Couple of Compositions for the Band.
Other later Projects:
"Günther Cash" - Homage to Johnny Cash.
"Günther Vogelsang" - some special classical Interpretations.
Some special selected Cover Versions, many Lyrics, Cabaret...
... and for a Couple of years Günther and Lorenz formed up another Rock Band,
“The "Wiener Pistols", a very special Vienna sounded Version of the Sex Pistols.

During the 8-Track-Fostex-Demo-Recordings at Tonstudio Peter in the 80´s, the very first Versions of the most Songs for this Album were created. In the most of the Songs you can hear the original Vocals, recorded in the 80´s. Sound Recovering from the Demos and the Recordings itself started in 2001 and were finished in 2016. The Production was finalized in 2020, at the Moment, the Release is under Construction.

This Song is Part of what we call Soundtrack of our Lives.
2018 Günther wrote German Lyrics for this Song with a similar Feeling, like it is in the original Text, but it is not a direct Translation, and so the Idea was born to make a Cover Version.
After finishing all instrumental Tracks and the following Vocal Recordings, the Production itself was finished at the End of 2019, and is now ready for Release.

Because we have still no Answer from the Songwriter(s), or from a legal Representative, we cannot release this Song at the Moment.

Album (EP/Maxi-CD): Letzter Atemzug

Based on "Traum" (2000, Original Release Maxi-CD: Die Kollegen - Traum), and 3 other Songs, all created in the first Years after the End of the Band: "Die Kollegen".
The Recordings for this Album happened during the Works for "Bestandsaufnahme", but here I tried, not to make another “typical” Günther Steiner Record, the Goal was to combine the recent Power of the "Kollegensound” with "Widersacher Sounds & Rhythm", in Order to create a new kind of Stuff.

The Album "Letzter Atemzug" is ready for Release, but due to open Questions between all involved Persons, the Release cannot be done at the Moment.
